Krishna Singh was the first chief minister of Bihar. He is also known as Sri Babu and Bihar Kesari. He served as the first Chief Minister of Bihar from 1946 to 1961. He with Dr. Rajendra Prasad (First President of India) and Dr. Anugrah Narayan Sinha, are respected as one of the best architects of modern Bihar. He also served as the Finance Minister of Bihar (1957-1961) while dispensing his duties as the Chief Minister.
