Explanation : Raja Ram Mohan Roy believed education to be an implement for social reform. He protested against the government’s policy to strengthen the Sanskrit Colleges in the Presidency Towns of Kolkata, Varanasi and Chennai and helped the British government to promote a more liberal and enlighten system in learning.
