The Non-Cooperation Movement was started on August 1, 1920, but after the Chauri Chaura incident on February 5, 1922, Mahatma Gandhi immediately suspended the Non-Cooperation Movement. The main objective of the Non-Cooperation Movement was to attain Swaraj in a year.
