Explanation: In 1536 A.D, Bahadur Shah was killed by the Portuguese on board the ship when making a deal with them. According to Mirat-Sikandari, the reason for his assassination was that a paper from him to the kings of the Deccan, inviting them to join him in an alliance against the Portuguese, had fallen into the hands of the Portuguese viceroy.
