Madam Bhikaji Cama was born on 24th September, 1861. Her parents were Parsi. Sorabji Patel was her father. She was married to Rustan K.R Cama. He was an advocate and social activist. Madam Cama worked as personal secretary of Dada Bhai Naoroji, the great leader of Indian National Movement. After some period she associated herself with Freedom Movement when she came into the contact of Europian scholars and students.
