The daughter of Sarojini Naidu (Padmaja Naidu) is the longest-serving governor with 11-year tenure in West Bengal. A governor is the constitutional body of each of the twenty-nine states of India. This officer is appointed by the President of India for a term of five years. He holds office at the President's pleasure. All its executive actions are taken in the governor's name.
