The first Mughal ruler was Babur. He started ruling over the throne of Farghana in 1494 at the age of twelve and faced a revolt. He conquered Samarkand later, only to lose the state of Fergana soon after. In 1504, he conquered Kabul. A rebel of the Lodhi dynasty Daulat Khan Lodi invited Babur to defeat Ibrahim in war and become ruler.
