The Mugal Emperor was Babur. He was the first of the eldest son of Umar Sheikh Mirza. Umar Sheikh Mirza was the governor of Farghana and great grandson of Timur. He started ruling over the throne of Farghana in 1494 at the age of twelve and faced revolt. He conquered Samarkand later, only to lose the state of Fergana soon after. In 1504, he conquered Kabul. A rebel of the Lodhi dynasty Daulat Khan Lodi, invited Babur to defeat Ibrahim in war and become ruler. Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodi at the First Battle of Panipat in 1526 CE and founded the Mughal empire. Baburnama, autobiography of Babur was written by Babur himself in 1524.
