Everest. Tenzing Norgay was a Nepalese citizen at the time of climbing. He was given Indian Passport by the Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and was made the training Director of the honorable Himalayan Mountaineering Institute which trained some of the first Everesters from India.
