Madabhushi Ananthasayanam Ayyangar was the first Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha later he became Speaker of Lok Sabha in the Indian Parliament. He was Governor of Bihar also. M A Ayyangar born on 4 February 1891 in Thiruchanoor, Chittoor district of Madras Presidency. He was teacher in Mathematics and later became a lawyer between 1915 -1950. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi he participated actively in Indian Freedom Struggle and was jailed twice. In 1934, M A Ayyangar was elected as member of Central Legislative Assembly. M A Ayyangar passed away on 19 March 1978.
