The Theosophical Society was founded in late 1875 in New York City by Russian noblewoman Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and American Colonel Henry Steel Alcott, along with attorney William Quan Judge and some other individuals. In 1879, the principal founders, Madam H.P. Blavatsky and Col Alcott, moved to India, where the Society spread rapidly. In 1882, they established the Society’s International Headquarters in Adyar, a suburb of Madras (currently Chennai). Brahmo Samaj was founded by Raja Ram Mohan Roy in 1828 and Swami Vivekanand founded Ramakrishna Mission in 1897. Thus option (A) is correct.
