Uttar Pradesh Budget 2019 Highlights : Rs 4.79 Lakh Cr Budget

Yogi Adityanath-Ied Uttar Pradesh government on February 7, 2019 presented the state budget for 2019-20. The Rs. 4.79 lakh crore annual budget tabled by Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal comes ahead of upcoming general elections and is 12 per cent higher than the 2018-19 budget of Rs. 4,28,384.52 crore. The third budget of the government includes new schemes totalling Rs. 21,212.95 crore.

• Yogi government allocated Rs. 50 crore for WiFi in all colleges and universities in Uttar Pradesh.
• Rs. 1,298 crore has been allotted for the Ayushman Bharat ational Health Protection Mission Scheme.
• A provision of Rs. 291 crore has been made for ‘Pradhan Mantri Matr Vandana Yojna’.
• Rs. 247.60 crore has been proposed for maintenance and construction of ‘gaushalas’ (cow shelters) in the rural areas.
• Rs. 111 crore under the state funded Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan to benefit the eligible beneficiaries deprived of Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Mission Scheme., and an arrangement of Rs. 47.50 crore for setting up of 100-bed hospitals in the districts of the state.
• The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh allocated Rs. 204 crore for modernization of police force and Rs. 700 crore for construction of 36 new police stations, expansion of Training capacity of Police and P.A.C. personnel and construction of barracks.

Bihar Budget 2019 Highlights : Focus on Education Rural & Energy Sectors

• Rs. 700 crore has been allocated for construction of Type-A and Type B (residential buildings) of the police department and Rs. 400 crore for construction of 07 police lines in newly created districts of the state. Rs. 200 crore for construction of residential and non- residential buildings in 57 fire stations of the state.
• Rs. 200 crore for Kanha Gaushala and Destitute Cattle Shelter Scheme in urban areas.
• Along with Rs. 800 crore allocation for Jewar International Airport, Rs. 200 crore has been proposed for new airport at Ayodhya.
• The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh allocated Rs. 6,000 crore for Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural).
• For implementation of the Deendayal Upadhyaya Small Dairy Scheme, a provision of Rs. 64 crore has been made to set up 10,000 units.
• A budgetary provision of Rs. 56 crore has been made for the establishment of a new dairy in Mathura and Rs. 5 crore has been allocated for financial year 2019-20 for various programmes under the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Policy, 2018.

Punjab Budget 2019 Highlights : Manpreet Singh Badal Presents Budget

• A proposal of Rs. 93 crore is there for strengthening, restructuring and expansion of milk unions and societies, training, technical inputs, cattle breeding and health schemes.
• The 2019-20 budget has made a provision of Rs. 26.57 crore to set up Sainik schools in the state.
• A provision of Rs. 10 crore has been made to set up government inter colleges (both boys and girls) in the state.
• Special cess has been imposed on liquor sales in Uttar Pradesh. Out of the cess, an estimated revenue of Rs. 165 crore will be utilized for the maintenance of destitute cattle-heads of the state. The UP government has also made a provision of Rs. 20 crore for establishment and reconstruction of cattle impounding houses in its annual budget. Rs. 56 crore has been allocated for setting up of a new dairy in Mathura.
• The Uttar Pradesh government has announced Rs. 1200 crore for a new scheme called the ‘Kanya Sumangala Yojna’ to be started from April 1, 2019 “with a view to raising health and educational standard of girls, brighten their future, bring in a positive change in the thinking towards women and instil a sense of respect towards them”.
